Our story
Why we exist
JR Recovery2Fitness grew out of competitive sport. Our founder, Jacob, competed in trampolining and double mini trampoline at national and international level, then went on to coach, judge and manage squads. Years of that teach you what a body can handle, and what it takes to keep it going.
He started the practice in 2021 with sports massage, and chiropractic followed once he qualified. It has grown into a team working across three clinics. Jacob started it. The people who train, recover and keep coming back are what make it.
What we believe
Around four in ten working-age adults in England find standard health information hard to understand.¹ So we take the time to explain things properly, and everything we do starts from there.
Straight answers
We tell you what we find in plain English, and what we think will help. No jargon, and no pressure.
The body works as one
Joints, muscles, how you move and how you recover all affect each other. That's why chiropractic and sports massage sit under one roof, and why we ask about more than the sore spot.
A plan that fits you
After your assessment we'll suggest a plan of care and give you a rough idea of how many sessions it might take. Plans change as you do, so we review yours as we go. The decision is always yours.
No fee if we can't help
If we assess you and we're not the right people for your problem, you don't pay. We'll point you to someone who is.

Excellent - I can highly recommend Jacob, I had my first consultation and sports massage today and I am really impressed. The consultation was professional, friendly, thorough and he talked me through his findings and the next steps. The sports massage has already helped and I'm feeling relief from the pain. I have already booked my next session and can't recommend Jacob highly enough. Thankyou.
Keeping you well
Getting out of pain is the first step. After that, we give you the advice, exercises and practical changes that help you look after yourself between visits and lower the chances of it coming back.
Some people also like a regular check-in every few weeks. If that's worth it for you, we'll say so, and if it isn't, we'll say that too.

I highly recommend Jacob for first class sports massage. I've already made future bookings to support my recovery from forthcoming marathon training. Jacob is extremely knowledgeable, professional and is very personable in his approach. From the first consultation I knew that I'd made a great choice!
Our recovery products
We also make our own recovery products, including magnesium bath flakes and the JR Fuse bottle, for the work you do between appointments.
Beyond the clinic
Looking after people doesn't stop at the treatment room door, so we try to give something back to the areas we work in.
We want our clinics to feel like somewhere you're part of, not somewhere you only visit when it hurts.

Looking after the Miscarriage Association's Great North Run team
For the last two years we've given free sports massage to the runners raising money for the Miscarriage Association at the Great North Run, along with free magnesium flakes for their recovery. The charity supports people through a loss that often goes unspoken.

Support for local workplaces
We offer local employers on-site sports massage, practical sessions on posture and lifting, and evening appointments for staff. A lot of what we see in clinic starts at work, and it's easier to deal with early.
